What do we offer our members?
By becoming a member of the Haileybury Waterlions Swimming Club, you will get:
- Registration with Swimming Victoria.
- Support services.
These include massage therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, nutritionists and guest speakers.
- Subsidized trips to some interstate meets.
- Subsidized camps.
- A number of Club Nights during the season.

- Social events.
These have included indoor rock climbing, go-karts, family bbqs, beach days, etc.
- Club breakfasts.
Sometimes we provide a breakfast for the swimmers after Saturday morning training.
- Annual Christmas party.
- Annual Presentation Night.
- Being a part of a group of motivated, positive and fun-loving swimmers.
- An environment where every swimmer can reach their full potential.
Membership Options:
| Membership Type | Fees for 2008/09 | Description |
| Full member | $150* | Anyone wishing to compete in organised competition within or outside the club. |
| Learn to Swim | $35* | A child undertaking learn to swim or introductory training and does not compete outside of club nights. This can be used for a maximum of 1 year. |
| Club Life Member | $0 | Please contact the Registrar if you wish to compete. |
| Committee | $0 | Any committee member for this year. |
| Official | $25 | Any qualified official working at club, district, state or national level. |
| Coach | $0 | Any Waterlions squad coach. |
| Non-competing member | $30 | Anyone who does not fall into any other category, including parents who wish to be a club member. |
* For families with 2 or more members of these categories, the 2nd and subsequent members receive a 10% discount (eg. the fees for 2 Full Members in a family would be $150 for the first member and $135 for the second).
All the club membership fees shown above include Swimming Victoria registration fees.
If you are already a member of another club since the start of the swimming year, you will need to get a clearance form from that club and then submit it with this application.
How to Join:
To become a member of the Haileybury Waterlions, all you have to do is to fill in a Membership Application form and send it to the Club Registrar with a cheque or EFT payment receipt (see EFT details) for the appropriate membership fee or leave the form and cheque (no cash) in the "Blue Box" at the pool.
