2008/09 Club Calendar
The competitions that have been selected as the ones that the Waterlions will be attending this year are listed below, although other meets may be added later. The target squads listed should be used as a guide only - please check with your coach.
However, you must be aware that these dates are applicable as at May 2008 and may change if Swimming Victoria or Swimming Australia change their dates. Some dates are marked as "to be confirmed" as not all States and clubs have set their events calendars and bookings need to be finalized. Updates to the calendar will be posted on the club website and noticeboards.
It is easy to set dates, but it is not so easy to ensure that all these events take place without everyone giving something back to the club. The Committee are just your representatives and can not run all activities without your assistance. We will be asking parents outside the committee to help run the Club Nights, club meets and social activities. Please volunteer your services whenever we call for your help during the season. The more people that help, the more activities can go ahead for your children.
If you wish to swim at a meet that is not on this list, please check with your coach before you enter as there may be other factors that you are not aware of that must be taken into account.

There are entry forms next to the noticeboard at the Keysborough pool. Warm-up is 6:30pm to 6:50pm and the races start at 7:00pm.
Results for each of the club nights can be viewed by clicking on the "View Results" link in the results column in the Calendar.

Club Camps and Trips for 2008/09
All of these camps/trips are subsidized by the club to make them more affordable to everyone; each will be a great experience for all attending.
Noosa - Sat 27 Sept to Sat 4 Oct 2008
The Noosa camp is back on this year for the National Squad. More details will be given soon to those invited.
Canberra/AIS - Melb Cup weekend, Fri 31 Oct - Tue 4 Nov 2008
We will be having a trip to Canberra, staying on campus at the AIS where the AIS elite athletes stay.
The swimmers will be competing at the 2-day Telopea Summer Meet over 2 days at the AIS pool on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd Nov.
This trip is open to all swimmers who did not attend the Noosa camp this year.
The purpose of this trip is to allow the younger swimmers to get used to competing over a few days out of Victoria, in preparation for later competitions at National events and other interstate meets.
